The Royals will play the Emperors at 9:00 am on field 1. The Diamondbacks will be umpiring.
Both the Royals and Emperors are coming off surprising weekends. Last week the 1st place Royals tied to the Diamondbacks and they fell short to the Leland Legends, which led to their drop to 2nd place in the standings. The Emperors cruised through Sugar Hill but tied to the Saints last week. This game can play a big role in both team’s playoff picture as they battle for second and third place. The last time these two teams met, the Royals walked away with a 4 – 1 victory. The Emperors will be looking to get some revenge on the damaged Royals.
The Royals will possibly be missing their young lead-off batter, Cheyenne. They missed him big time last week but they are hoping that they will be able to fill in his spot. The Royals will have their hands full when they face off against the Emperors on field 1. Field 1 is an open field that many lefties struggle on. The Royals are a heavy lefty hitting team, so this will be a challenge for them as well.
The Emperors are not happy with their tie to the Saints last week so they will be taking a lot of frustration out on the handicap Royals. The Emperors have the advantage of playing on an open field as well as facing an injured team. Let’s see if the Emperors can sneak their way into 2nd place in the standings after this week.
