Stickball in the New York Emperors Stickball League has mostly been played with pumpep balls during it’s 27 year history. Other leagues normally play with regular balls, but occasionally tournaments are played with pumped balls. A “pumped” ball is a ball that it injected with air using an air compressor and then sealed with glue to close the opening. The ball then is bigger and also more solid/rigid. It changes the dynamics of the game by boosting the offensive capacity of every player, which then leads to higher scoring games. Some say it makes a weak player better and a good player that much better and some say it doesn’t make that much difference.
