The Royals loyal following voted them GOTW for the second straight week for their matchup against the Gold. The Gold had a good week 1 showing and were looking to keep the early season momentum going. Kevin provided the early lead with his 2-run double, and Ruben knocked him in with his RBI single. From there the Royal defense took over. Not many people gave them a chance facing the defending champion Emperors, but that didn’t stop them from delivering the upset of the day. The game was scoreless until the 5th inning when the Brew Crew struck first.
