Game of the Week

Leland 3 Vs Saints 4– Leland jumped out to the lead in the first when Eddie F followed up Edwin’s leadoff double. The Saints quickly tied the game in the second with Freddy’s RBI single. The Saints kept the hits coming in the third. Josh hit an RBI double and two batters later, Joey knocked in two more with a double of his own. Leland tried to mount a comeback in the bottom of the seventh with three straight 2-out hits, but were unable to complete the comeback leaving two men on. Eddie F and his son Edwin were a combined 7 for 10. Mick, Mike and Joey had two hits each in the Saints victory. This was just the beginning of a big day for the surging Saints.

Remaining Games

Bandits 0 Vs Gold 11 – This game only lasted four innings as the Gold made quick work of the Bandits. Carlitos led the way for Gold with a 2-hit, 4-RBI performance. Pito added three hits, while Q and Pete added 2-RBI’s a piece for the Gold. Pito had the lone hit for the Bandits in this game.
Emperors 6 Vs Royals 0 – This rivalry game turned out to be a disappointment as the Emperors made it look easy against the slumping Royals. Joey got the party started with an RBI in the second for the Emperors and they didn’t look back. Caban hit his fourth HR of the season, and Ant-Live added 3 hits and an RBI. The Royals had opportunities to make some noise in this game, but stranded multiple runners in 3 separate innings. Chris, Darnell and Adam had two hits each.
Ravens 3 Vs Emperors 10– The Emperor bats stayed hot in this one as they looked to have their mojo back. Caban added 4 more hits with a pair of RBI, and Ant-Live had 4 of his own, including a HR and 5-runs batted in. Tito had 4 hits as well. Elvin, Gil and Tim each drove in a run for the Ravens.
Royals 6 Vs Saints 7 – The Royals have had the Saints number recently and this game looked to be no different as the Royals jumped out to a 6-run lead scoring two runs in the first, second and third innings with Kevin driving in one run in each of those innings. But the Saints have shown tremendous heart this season and erased a 6-run deficit for the second time in as many weeks. The Saints scored four runs in the fifth inning, with Joey, Warfield, Freddy and Pedro each knocking in a run. Warfield capped off the comeback in the sixth inning when he hit a huge 3-run HR with 2 outs. The Saints were not done with this day by a long shot.
D’Backs 0 Vs Stem 9 – The Stem got a nice shot in the arm on Sunday with Wayne and Jenn Lippold making a cameo on the Blvd this week. Stem started the scoring early with the help of DJ’s 3-run HR in the first inning. The Stem didn’t look back as they steamrolled the D’Back 9-0. DJ had a big game driving in five runs. Skylar added 3 hits to the cause as five Stem players drove in runs. Chris and John Blaze had two hits each for the D’Backs.
Bandits 1 Vs Stem 0– Stem was unable to keep the momentum going in this one as the offense hit a snag. The Bandits were able to down the Stem by a score of 1-0. Ralphie drove in the lone run in the third inning with an RBI single. Stem was able to load the bases in the bottom of the seventh inning to give themselves a chance, but failed to bring any runs in. Neither offense had much to write home about as these two teams combined to strike out 17 times. Mickey had 3 hits for the Bandits. Austin led the stem with two hits.
Leland 7 Vs D’Backs 1– Edwin led the game off with a HR for Leland and they never looked back. Dave added two monstrous HR’s of his own in this game, driving in three runs in total. Jay and Doug also drove in runs Leland in this game as they cruised to the 7-1 victory with just seven men. The D’Backs had seven different guys record hits, but failed to put any together. Mark drove in the lone run and Jay added two hits for the D’Backs.
Ravens 4 Vs Gold 2 – The Ravens were able to hand the Gold just their second defeat of the season in this game. The Gold struck first in the second inning when Alex hit an RBI single to drive in a run. They added another run in the third when Eddie B. drove in Dusty after getting on with double. But the Ravens answered back with a 3-run fourth inning when Elvin put the Ravens on the board with an RBI single, then taking the lead for good with Nelsons 2-run HR. Stevie had two hits in this game for the Gold, while Gil and Al Junior added two hits each for the Ravens.

Make-up Games
Saints 7 Vs Ravens 2– The Ravens were looking to keep the momentum going after beating the Gold, but they ran into the red hot Saints who have been playing the best ball we have seen from them since they entered the league. Efrain and Tim helped the Ravens jump out to a 2-0 lead in the second with RBI’s, but the late inning heroics continued for the Saints. Down by one in the sixth, the Saints erupted for six runs. Mike hit a 2-run double in the sixth to give the Saints the lead, followed by his brother Pete’s RBI triple. Dom added a 2-run HR and Pedro finished off the scoring with an RBI double. The Saints went 3-0 on Sunday, vaulting them up to second place and just points away from the Gold for first.
Royals 3 vs Bandits 3 – The Bandits and Royals battled to a 3-3 tie in this rain shortened game. The Bandit struck first with a two out rally in the first inning when Pena drove in Mickey with an RBI single. But the Royals took the lead in the third with RBI doubles from Darnell and Kevin. Ruben extended the lead to 3-1 in the fourth with and RBI double. In the fifth inning, Pito hit a HR for the Bandits to bring them within one, and Mickey drove in Tone after his triple to tie the game. The Royals had the winning run on second base in the bottom half of the fifth with one out, but were unable to get the clutch hit in what turned out to be the last inning.
Gold Vs Emps– No official stats for this game as they were unable to get this game in due to the slippery conditions on the field.
