Week Seven Recap

Ravens 1 – Silver Bullets 11:

The Ravens led the game off with back to back singles. With runners on 1st and 3rd base, Nelson drove in a run to give the Ravens an early 1 – 0 lead. David Jr. and Austin led the bottom of the 1st inning off with back to back doubles. Skylar drove in Austin and Wayne followed that up with a double, to put runners at 2nd and 3rd with no outs. AJ kept the hitting going with a 2 RBI single. With a runner on first and second, Jay hit an RBI single. David Jr. followed that up with a base clearing single to give the Bullets a 7 – 1 lead after the first inning. In the bottom half of the 2nd inning, the Bullets scored 2 more runs thanks to AJ`s 2 run home-run. In the bottom of the 3rd inning, the Bullets adding the final two runs which put the Mercy rule into play.

Ravens: Efrain (2-2, 2 Singles)

Silver Bullets: David Jr. (2-3, 1 Single, 1 Double, 3 RBIs)    AJ (2-3, 1 Single, 1 Home-run, 4 RBIs)

 

Leland Legends 8 – Ravens 1:

Leland got on the board first after three consecutive singles. The game remained 1 – 0 till the top of the 5th inning. Ron reached on a double and Ed reached on a single. Fred drove in a run and Edwin drove in another run with a sac fly, making the score 3 – 0. In the bottom of the 6th inning, the Ravens got on the board thanks to Tim`s RBI single. Leland put the game away in the top of the 7th inning. Ed hit an RBI single and Eddie F. hit a 2 RBI single of his own. To put the icing on the cake, Doug hit a 2 run home-run to give Leland an 8 – 1 lead.

Leland Legends: Ed (3-4, 3 Singles, 1 RBI)    Doug (2-4, 1 Single, 1 Home-run, 3 RBIs)

Ravens: Tim (1-3, 1 Single, 1 RBI)

 

Saints 2 – Gold 12:

This game was all the Gold. Pito lead off the bottom of the first with a double and Papo followed that up with an RBI triple. Chuchi drove him in with a sac fly. In the next inning, Waka, Pito and Dusty, each drove in a run to give the Gold a 5 – 0 lead. In the bottom of the 3rd inning, the Gold adding another 5 runs to put the Mercy rule into effect heading into the top of the 4th inning. The Saints were able to score 2 runs in the top of the 4th inning, making the score 10 – 2, to keep the game going. In the bottom of the 5th, the Gold put the Saints away after scoring 2 runs. Pete led off with a triple and Pito followed that up with an RBI triple of his own. Papo put the finishing touches with an RBI single, to give the Gold the 12 – 2 win.

Saints: Eric (1-2, 1 Double, 1 RBI)

Gold: Pito (4-4, 1 Single, 1 Double, 2 Triples, 3 RBIs)    Papo (3­-4, 1 Single, 1 Double, 1 Triple, 3 RBIs)

 

Gold 3 – Diamondbacks 2:

In the top of the 1st inning, Papo hit a double and Chuchi drove him in with an RBI single. In the bottom half of the inning, the Diamondbacks got the run back thanks to Joey`s RBI single. In the bottom of the 3rd inning, the Diamondbacks took a 2 – 1 lead after Martin`s solo home-run. In the top of the 5th inning, Pito hit a double and Papo drove him in with an RBI single to tie the game at 2. In the top of the 7th the Gold scored their 3rd run, which went on to be the game winning run.

Gold: Papo (2-4, 1 Single, 1 Double, 2 RBIs)    Chuchi (2-4, 2 Singles, 1 RBI)

Diamondbacks: Martin (1-3, 1 Home-run, 1 RBI)

 

Saints 1 – Emperors 1:

This was a quiet game. The Saints took a 1 – 0 lead in the top of the 4th inning, after Vic hit a single and Pete drove him in with a double. The Saints almost walked away with the 2nd win of the season over a hot Emperors team. In the bottom of the 7th inning with two outs, Rich (forty), hit a solo home-run to tie the game. The Emperors got 2 more runners on base after the home-run but could not take the lead.

Saints: Pete (2-3, 1 Single, 1 Double, 1 RBI)

Emperors: Rich (1-3, 1 Home-run, 1 RBI)

 

Diamondbacks 1 – Royals 1:

This was another quiet game. The Royals got on the scoreboard first, in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Kev hit a single and Dave drove him in with an RBI triple. In the top of the 4th inning, the Diamondbacks got that run back. Joey hit a triple and Jay drove him to tie the game a 1 – 1. This is the only scoring there was as both teams could not get their offense going.

Diamondbacks: Jay (1-3, 1 Double, 1 RBI)

Royals: Dave (1-3, 1 Triple, 1 RBI)

 

Royals 2 – Leland Legends 6:

In the bottom of the 1st inning Leland put up a 2 spot. Freddy reached on a double and Edwin drove him home with an RBI triple. Eddie F. followed that up with an RBI double. The Royals got those two runs back in the top of the 2nd inning. Eric got the Royals going with a single and Ruben drove him in with an RBI triple. Jonathan tied the game at 2 with a sac fly. Leland answered right back in the bottom half of the inning thanks to Freddy`s 2 RBI triple. In the next inning, Leland scored again after three consecutive singles. Leland added one more insurance run in the bottom of the 5th inning. Petey drove in Eddie F. with an RBI double.

Royals: Ruben (1-3, 1 Triple, 1 RBI)

Leland Legends: Freddy (2-4, 1 Double, 1 Triple, 2 RBIs)    Petey (2-3, 1 Single, 1 Double, 2 RBIs)

 

Sugar Hill 9 – Silver Bullets 7:

Sugar Hill took the lead early thanks to an RBI double by Cooks and a sacrifice by Angel. In the bottom half of the inning, the Silver Bullets put up a 5 spot. After five consecutive singles, three of those singles driving in a run each, Jayden hit a 2 RBI double. Sugar Hill offense responded by scoring two runs in the top of the 3rd inning, after Angel`s 2 RBI single. In the top of the 4th inning, TJ hit a double and Baez drove him in with an RBI single. Ralph, Cooks and Angel each hit an RBI single to give Sugar Hill an 8 – 5 lead. In the bottom of the 5th inning, AJ hit an RBI single to cut the deficit to 2 but Sugar Hill answered right back. In the top of the 6th inning, Cooks hit a sac fly to put Sugar Hill up 9 – 6. The Bullets tried to get something going in the bottom of the inning but only managed to score one run.
